About Our Legal Clinic

We are a non-profit community legal clinic funded by Legal Aid Ontario. We are not part of Legal Aid Ontario: we are a separate, community based non-profit corporation.

We give people living on a low income in city of North Bay or the District of Nipissing free legal services for certain problems.

We can:

• give you legal advice
• represent you at some tribunals and courts
• refer you to other agencies when we can’t help

We also give legal information sessions for members of the public and community agencies upon request. We work in partnership with the community and the legal clinic system to improve laws that affect low income people in Ontario.

A community-based board of directors is responsible for setting the strategy and providing oversight for our community legal clinic.
